Parking your car

In Amersfoort you have plenty of opportunities to park your car. You can choose to park on the street, in a parking lot or in a garage.

Paid parking

In some areas of the inner city there is only opportunity to park with a permit and in the remaining areas there is paid parking. These areas are divided into two zones: rate zones A and B. In these zones you can pay with both debit or credit card. Check the current rates here. At most locations paid parking is available from Monday to Saturday between 9:00 and 20:30 and on Sunday between 12:00 and 17:00.

Blue zone

In some places in the city center there are blue zones. This means that you can park for free with a parking disc. The parking duration is indicated per parking space on the traffic sign.

Electronic charging stations

In a number of places in Amersfoort you have the opportunity to charge electric cars. In these places the same paid parking regulation applies as the other areas in the city center. It is only allowed to park in these places if the car is connected to a charging station and the car is actually being charged. The parking garages Koestraat, Stadhuisplein and Flintplein have charging points for electric cars.

Parking garages

The following parking garages can be found around the city center. These garages are open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Bicycle Stalls

You can park your bicycle for free at one of the four bicycle stalls in the city center:

Amicitia

Sint Jorisplein

Kamperbinnenpoort

Eemlaan

How does it work?

When you arrive, a staff member will attach a label to your bicycle. You will then receive a corresponding ticket. Keep this ticket in a safe place: you can use it to retrieve your bicycle later. Be sure to lock up your bike! If you lose your ticket, you can prove that you are the owner by showing a working bicycle key.

Coaches; boarding, disembarking and parking

Are you visiting Amersfoort by coach? You can let the passengers embark and disembark at Stadhuisplein, on the right side of the road, where you can put the bus with the right wheels on the sidewalk. You can leave this location via Achter Davidshof, Westsingel and Molenstraat to the Stadsring.
