Utrecht Ridge National Park
The moraine, with its forests and heaths, rises from the flat agricultural landscape. The southerly part of the Utrecht Ridge is designated National Park territory (circa. 10,000 hectares).
Besides the moraine, the floodplains of Amerongen also belong to the National Park. It is a district of forests, country estates and ‘hills’. You can cycle and walk here to your heart’s content over the moraine, through the heaths, by castles and manors, over the floodplains and through the woods.
