On the place where Hoeve de Beek now stands, there was already a farm in the 14th century. On the other side of the wall separating this part from the living space, the old bricks can be found, which date from the 14th or 15th century. The house burnt down twice, in 1880 and in 1884.

The farm has been maintained in its original state as much as possible by the previous and the current inhabitants. In 2001, the farm became a National Monument, and in 2004, the farm was honoured with the title ‘most beautiful farm in the Utrecht province’.
