The new restaurant consists totally of recycled products. On the menu, you will find fish, meat and vegetarian dishes with pure and fair tastes. DLC stands for Daily Local Cooking.
What is unique about this restaurant is that people with a disabilities are given a chance to participate in society. The clients of the Bikkel Foundation helped to build and the clients of the care organisation Amerpoort help to cultivate the vegetables in the greenhouse and the garden of the restaurant.
The building has a warm, informal atmosphere. Besides the restaurant section, guests can also have a drink next to the stoves in the greenhouse, or outside on the roomy veranda if the weather is fine. Here, you have a view of the industrial buildings in the grounds.
The restaurant open Thursday until Sunday from 4pm. Additionally, a unique space can be rented for weddings and (corporate) celebrations.
A scooter can be placed in the restaurant upon arrangement. The pavement is lowered on one side for a wheelchair. The side entrance is barrier-free. Once inside, there are also no barriers. Auxiliary/guide dogs are permitted. There is a glass sliding door. This is clearly marked with stickers. The card machine is portable. The tables are all different heights. There are chairs with and without armrests. There is no disabled toilet. When possible, the disabled toilet at the Centraal Ketelhuis close by can be used. There are pleasant acoustics. The fire route is flat and obstacle-free. The closest adapted public transport is Amersfoort Central Station and Noordewierweg. In the opposite building (Clinicclowns), there is an AED.
